Lately I'm crazy over Korean food! Although this bread is definitely an influence from the West, the Korean sure know how to elevate something so simple into a mouth watering snack. This recipe is easy, quick and savoury enough to fill your late night cravings. Creamy, buttery and garlicky. To make it even simple, we substitute cream cheese with greek yogurt and it tasted equally amazing!
WHAT YOU NEED
6 small / medium size bun (ready made from supermarket)
1 medium / large size egg
2-3 tbs melted butter / margarine
1 whole bulb of of garlic finely chop
1/2 tsp salt (not too much if you're using salted butter)
1/2 cup fresh milk
1-2 tbs of greek yogurt
1 tbs Japanese mayonnaise (kewpie)
1/2 tbs honey / condensed milk
2 slices of sandwich cheese
1 tbs dried parsley
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
1. In a bowl, beat the egg and combine all of the ingredients together (except bread, yogurt & cheese)
2. Make sure that the melted butter is cool down before pouring it into the mix
3. Mix everything together until mayonnaise & honey melted
4. Put it aside for a while and slice the bun half way through into 6 sections
5. Cut the sandwich cheese into few slices and slide it in between the bun sections
6. Dip the bun into the butter garlic mixture. Make sure the buttery liquid goes into the nook & crannies
7. Place it on a baking tray or pyrex and put a dollop of greek yogurt in the middle
8. Bake it for 15 - 20 minutes at 180 degree celcius and ready to be served
P/s: Pre-heat the oven at 120 degree celcius before you start everything.
